The Wise Journey is a project that has kept SAG busy for the past year.   Generously funded and supported by New Horizons for Seniors, The Foundation Lab and The City of Calgary.

A year ago 6 older adults came together to research and explore the patterns of what it takes to be a wise elder.   They studied elders throughout recorded history and across cultures.

They were clear that "wisdom doesn't always come with age, sometimes age shows up by itself"  and they wanted to know how to be helpful elders.

With some generous support by Ken Low and The Action Studies Institute, the Saggy's were guided to the definition of wisdom by Johnny Morgan, Inuit Elder: Silatunirmut

“In our traditional way of teaching the aim was to develop wisdom.  A person became wise when they could see what needed to be done  and do it successfully
without being told what to do.”

Working with that definition they considered what it would take to be a wise elder.

This play marks an evolution for SAG.    It is multimedia, charming and heart wrenching all at once.
